Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian and television host popular as the anchor for The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Born in Arkansas She was raised in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is a member of a troubled family. Sheryl was a part of her childhood caring for her sister Frankie with polio. As she grew older she had numerous arguments with her mum. Sheryl states that her mother had a time when she stabbed her father because he was too close. Sheryl was a soldier after she graduated from the college. Sheryl's passion for comedy was evident. She became the first female finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her first TV career in 1992 having a frequent appearance as a performer on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. The host was on TV for the 2000 season of Oh Drama! In 2011, she began appearing as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. She also has fictional roles in shows like Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
