Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's acting debut was in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role she received the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. She was the second youngest recipient in Oscar History. In response to an audition Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish pianist. Flora McGrath is the daughter of a muted Scottish musician who came into New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. When she was a teenager, she moved into the United States. Paquin played Jane Eyre's title character as a teenager in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as her main character for the character in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the Spanish queen in a smaller part. The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as in the role of polexia Aphrodisa groupie as part of Almost Famous (2000).
