Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, playwright and teacher of St. Thomas University). Anna Silk was the child of a Briton as well as the son of a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. As a child, she was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto in order to help her acting develop. In the following years, she was able to move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her partner in 2009. Anna had changed her religion to Judaism and the couple married in Fredericton.
