
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala (2011), which was a Mexican crime drama film. Her next roles were Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). Sigman was seen in Narcos (2015) as well as S.W.A.T.(2017) in the second and first seasons, respectively. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of her Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. She is an U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] The father of her, player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She started her career on Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011, she played the leading character in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. [6] The film was selected as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards,[7][8] but it did not make the final cut. 9 Sigman was nominated for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in 2011, for her role in the film.
